25. Who Wants Him There Anyway?
I know we all look to our fearless leader for fearless leadership when scary things happen...but what could he do right now anyway? His presence there would just make things worse...my opinion, of course. The people who live on the coast know that hurricanes come regularly and the continue to choose to live there. Last I saw...there were people being interviewed who were saying, why evacuate for a storm that may never come?

I'm thinking specifically about GulfPort...My brother and his wife live there...and evacuated to her place of business in GulfPort. She is a physician and I suppose she will be involved with all of the medical problems this disaster will cause.

She and my brother are staunch republicans, Bush supporters and ex-military people. They live a very high life-style...and they have lots of friends who are also there enjoying the good life. Her business there is all about the rich and famous... I gather from them that there are a whole lot of folks just like them who perhaps need to experience first hand what it is to just loose everything.

Ultimately, they probably will just do very well with insurance and tax sheltering... but MAYBE they will get close enough to real human suffering that inspires NO REAL RESPONSE from the uncaring, inhumane administration they voted into place to see what some of the others of us are talking about.

Everything happens for a reason.... These guys, the shrub folks, are all giving us a very strong dose of what it is we don't want. When the dosage gets high enough...I believe it will catalyze deep and lasting change. We need to keep pushing...

Perhaps we could use the photos we are seeing of the damage and devastation as visuals for how we would like to see the bush administration......no structure left standing....

Somebody please stop me, I feel a rant coming on!

Peace
