I call to all DUers to host Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts parties in your neighborhoods. Parties can be small or large--just as long your guests donate food, especially water and medical supplies to your local food bank and/or Red Cross!! I'm currently urging my lovely gay pals to do the same. I have a friend who lives in a wonderful home in Eagle Rock with a very large yard and a pool. Very ideal for a relief effort event. We have held such events in the past and the response has always been amazing with the donations we get. So I'm hoping we can pull together a major party as such as soon as possible for this disaster. Wish me luck!
