11. Red Cross
The Red Cross never states that all the money raised goes to a disaster. They use the money, "as they see fit." If you watched the NBC telethon over the weekend you will notice that the Red Cross head did not say that the money WILL go to Katrina relief, she stated it would go to where it was needed.

Also remember that no matter how much blood you give to the Red Cross, when you need it, they will then charge you for it, no matter how much you have given in the past. I still give blood to them because I feel it is my duty as a human being to help others in need. So please don't think that I am saying don't give. Please give blood as often as you can!

The Salvation Army, on the other hand, does guarantee that all money raised in the name of a disaster goes to that disaster relief.
