At any rate, bribery worked well for us. Here's how I did it:

Set the timer for EVERY 15 minutes (yup 15 minutes) and take her. Tell her she has to sit on the potty for XXXX long - count to 10, spell her name, sing a song, do a rhyme, set the timer for 10 sec - something.... then she can get up. (running the water in the sink sometimes encourages a tinkle)

IF she peepees, she gets 2 or 3 MM's or 1 gummibear or something she REALLY likes, just a small amount though.

Do this for a day or so. Then gradually change the timer - to 20 minutes for a day-ish - to 30 minutes - well, you get the drift. (it shouldn't take more than a week or so. )


Oh yeah - IF she voluntarily goes to the potty to peepee without timer or without being told - give her twice the amount she would usually get.


If she's REALLY into bribery :) - get a calendar with gold stars or other stickers and let her put up a sticker every time she goes pp potty.

If she goes all day being dry - get a BIG sticker or Big prize at end of day - like ice cream or watch a special video or something.

Tell her if she's dry for two or three days in a row - she gets X. (Sprinkles on her ice cream or getting her nails painted.)

Then let her pick a "biggie" you'd ordinarily rather be shot than buy and tell her if she goes a WHOLE WEEK - she gets that. (Put a picture on the calendar.)

The most important thing, though. Is don't stress. The more of a control issue you make it, the more she'll balk. Make it a fun thing to go to the potty! yaaaaaayyy :applause:
