Edit: Big disadvantage from vaccines made from dead viruses - they don't do anywhere NEAR as good a job of stimulating immunity as does a live virus vaccine. But if it's a live virus vaccine, it can revert to virulence as it gets passed on through the population. There are no perfect solutions here..........
