I wouldn't have been mad at her if she'd bought into the Machine's hyping of her story and gone for the gold. I mean, she's still going for the gold, but she's being honest about it. God bless her.

But instead, she came out and gave credit where credit's due and has spoken nothing but truth despite all the pressure she's certainly under. That's uncommon courage. Even if she, I dunno, endorses Bush for reelection, I'll still stand up for her.

Illegal, immoral war aside, she took a broken leg for America and did it with honor. If she really did get sexually assaulted, she got assaulted for her country. Any American treating her contempt is a jerk and a bad citizen.
