GOP putting political gain above their racist tendencies? Re: LA election

this makes me wonder...What are they getting at? The majority of the GOP base rallied behind one of the "brown folk" in today's election...voting in similar percentages as past elections, and they went overwhelmingly for Jindal. This leads be to believe that even the most die-hard kkk racist will vote straight ticket, as long as the candidate is anti-choice, anti seperation of church & state, etc etc..

What do yall think? Does race matter any more to them? Or is POWER the overriding factor?
