4. I'd break it down into hours you might reasonably expect...
Say:

1 hour to brainstorm with you, the client.

4 hours to rough concept a few ideas

2 hours to tighten up the one you pick

1 hour to finish it, spec it for different uses, burn it to disk, etc.

So 8 hours X 50.00, four hundred bucks. I bet you could find someone to do it for 1/2 of that or less though, if you look around.

I know a very talented democrat in Austin who's wanting to take on clients if you need a recommendation. I'd be happy to put you in touch with her. Actually, I know two people who might be good for this.
