When did patterned sheets go out of style????

I needed a new set of sheets and went today to Bed Bath and Beyond to get a new set because one wore out. All my sheets are fairly old (10 years) and all have/had (including the recently departed ones) great patterns. Virtually everything there was a solid color or really boring lame prints. So I ended up buying pale-green solids.

Do people these days want boring beds???
