No turning, no bringing on, just questioning the benefits of.

It was, after all, a joke.

And if you couldn't tell, then that's clearly my fault.

However, I did have an unfortunate acquaintance in college who had a genius for falling in love with guys who were on the verge of coming out of the closet. She wasn't bitchy or in any way objectionable, just unlucky in love. We, cruelly, would point out that "after going out with X, so-and-so decided to give up on women."
