11. I didn't think that it was
I went to a church as a teen where the majority of the members fit that discription. They seemed to be happier, on average, than most other groups of people that I have encountered. If someone was having troubles, people prayed for them and the minister offered free counseling. Sermons regularly focused on relying on Jesus and knowing that all your sins are forgiven through Him. Life can be hard for anyone since many things are about a state of mind. These people had a good support system, which is true of many people who are heavily involved in a church of their choice that is consistent with their own values.
