13. Well, there is this: "Nicole Kidman dumps Scientology"
In all seriousness, I don't give a flying rat's ass, either. As much as people around here seem to really like Kidman, especially since her breakup with Clam Boy, I found her abrasive and self absorbed to the point of utter loathing when she WAS with him. So much so that I missed one of my favorite director's last film, 'Eyes Wide Shut', just because of the stupid stunt casting involved. After Kubrick's death, Kidman publicly moaned and sobbed about how close she and Kubrick were, as if they were intellectual equals or some crap. Both she and Clam Boy took it upon themselves to be the official spokespersons for the Kubrick family, pissing off some people, big time.

She's been more tolerable since her divorce from that perpetual twit. If she never makes another film I'd never even notice; I'm only on this topic because of Scientology, and it concerns me when it (or any cult) uses celebrities as shills.

Actor Nicole Kidman has apparently tossed off the "cult" baggage of her failed marriage to Tom Cruise, reports the Star-Ledger.

The New Jersey newspaper reported that her exploration of the controversial church has "quietly ended."

It was rumored that Kidman's ambivalence about Scientology may have contributed to problems in her marriage to Tom Cruise, who is a devoted Scientologist. And she did seem to distance herself from the "religion" in many previous interviews.

Kidman's father is a psychiatrist; a profession often viewed with contempt by Scientologists, who frequently demonstrate against psychiatry. Her commitment to Catholicism may have caused conflict with some of Scientology's teachings.
