10. i dunno but i do know an old hupa1 grandmother that
swears she has tea with bigfoot once a week or so, except in the summer, because it's just too hot then, doncha know.

<1>the hupa people are one of the tribes of the klamath-trinity basin in the trinity mountains of far northern california/ southern california. the lady i'm speaking of tells this story with a twinkle in her eye, and she is very aware and very traditional, one of the mainstays of th elders in passing along the old ways. but she tells this story in all seriousness...
