At least, not for years.

You know why vinegar has an expiration date on it? Because the packaging is not designed to last as long as the vinegar itself.

Same with honey -- archaeologists have found edible honey in the pyramids of Egypt. Still, some of it has expiration dates because the plastic it's in won't last, or because it has additives, or because the honey marketers want to sell you more honey.
