40. Better late answering than never, I guess
1. Parsifal by Wagner a couple of years ago. Can you think of a better way of spending 6 hours of a Sunday after/evening? I certainly can't.

2. The list would be constantly changing......at the moment

A C.D. with the Messes Solennelles by Vierne and Langlais, plus some organ works by the latter (I can't remeber the formal title of the C.D., and it's at home not here).

A compilation of Bach's best organ works - this would have to be selected by me, as I tend to disagree violently with other folk's choices of what are the best.

William Byrd, Mass for 4 voices, Mass for 5 voices, and Infelix Ego.

A wonderful C.D. I have (again I forget the name) with mystic minimalist stuff - Paert, Tavener, Gorecki and a couple of other chaps.

Something lighter - I'm torn between an ultra-trashy C.D. I have of music by Sir Arthur Sullivan and one of French jazz that I have.

3. "Do you know where the bell tower is?" - a short explanation, I was walking through St. Mark's Square, the bell-tower (not an inconspicuous building) was litterally fewer than 20 feet away, and an American tourist asked me this. :banghead: To my dear American D.U. friends, please don't do such silly things, it makes the rest of the world think that you're all nutcases.

4. Gin, lace and back-biting (with double points to anybody who can tell me to what they refer).

5. I always refuse to accept compliments - usually defusing them with self-depricating humour.

6. Most of them - for being tools of the corporate manipulation and degredation of culture.

7. Wouldn't I have to know some rock-stars to be able to answer that question? The guitarist chap from Queen always seemed to be quite a good fellow - I'll have to add in chaps from The Clash to keep J.J. from killing me too.
