... backward industrialized nation, we should be able to win it hands down this year. :)

I really don't think scientists need to respond to this, but I dearly hope the stand-up comics are working overtime on the problem--because what this requires is not a measured, thoughtful response, but, rather, outright ridicule.

Wouldn't you just love to be an archeologist a few thousand years from now? "Ummm, we seem to have here an ancient society which worshipped dinosaurs as their gods and created outdoor churches filled with icons of their faith. Curiously, there is no mention of dinosaurs in their sacred text, so this must be a cultish offshoot of what were known then as Xtians."
