Alright, I'm just gonna vent about something [View All]

I *hate* those "psychological profile" test things so many minimum-wage type jobs make you take just to put in your application. If you've applied for any of these sorts of jobs recently, you know the ones I'm talking about: 100+ questions about your "attitudes" after you've already spent half an hour filling out the application they now require you to fill out online. I mean, hell, I'm just looking for a part-time job while I take some graduate courses this semester- how relevant is it really if I have "a lot of self-confidence", "things in my past that I regret", or if I'm "more of a follower than a leader"? How do any of these things have any bearing on how well I could operate a cash register or stock videos at a freakin' Blockbuster? And for that matter, how do any of these places guarantee any level of accuracy on these things? I mean, I'm for the most part an honest person and I certainly stretched the truth a bit. I figure the fact that I tried to be at least somewhat honest will hurt me compared to the vast majority of people who just lied throughout the whole thing, but oh well...

Yeah, I know these stupid tests are bothering me way more than they should, and in the big scheme of things it's really nothing, but I guess I just felt the need to vent. Thanks for reading, anyone who actually made it through this.
