Reference Superfly's poll concerning gentlemen:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php#427282

I posted this as part of my reply to his query/poll:

Guys, why can't you be bothered to dress appropriately when your date, wife, girlfriend and you are out on the town? Every holiday season I see it. The women are in cocktail dresses, gowns, etc. and their male escorts are in khakis with their shirt tails out, or nearly so, with Doc Martens or some other ungodly combination of clothing that is best suited for doing lawn work.

Care to 'splain that one, guys?

An addition to my comment: Don't cry cost. If she can afford the dress, you can afford the suit or formal wear. If not, you need to be at home saving your pennies instead of out on the town.

Sound off - both sexes.
