I kid you not. In my old apartment, the one where the lady next door raised chickens and ducks for dinner, I would have mice sneak in from the cold, too. One time I was opening a drawer in the kitchen where I kept the dish towels and this mouse flew out of the drawer, lunging at me! Needless to say, I screamed awfully loud. :D

Put out traps and then got a cat, so I never saw any more. But, the rest of that winter I would actually knock on all of the drawers in the kitchen before I opened them just so any lurking mice would have a chance to run away.
