We don't do the "wet garbage" thing though. The township provides each home with a recycle bin so as not to confuse the recyclables from the regular trash. At first years ago they tried having pick ups for different items on different days (plastic on one day, glass on another, etc.) but it just confused the hell out of everyone, so they got rid of that idea and pick up all the recyclables every trash day and sort them out themselves.

I'm kind of surprised how diligent people are about separating out the recyclables from their regular trash. I always figured most people would find it a pain in the ass, but pretty much everyone is really good about it.
