The military is apolitical, didn't you hear ;) But you should know that the officer corps usually votes Republican unfortunately. Where are those officers you're running into? There's a couple hundred army officers here alone, and plenty of other people who served with Clark in joint staffs.

Like I said, the details aren't getting released. There's a diplomatic side to it. Shelton and Schwarzkopf (both excellent leaders) hinted at it, and I've read it since I've been here. Not my place to distribute though...you'll have to call the little birdie who keeps dropping intel memos out of the department of defense!

The Navy somewhat likes him more, cause of the way he called the Yugoslav "CNO" on the phone before Kosovo and told him if he set sail we would sink everything they had, wherever it was! No problems from those guys after that.

But there are definite integrity issues that's putting the military off. Maybe the O's you know are clueless or out of it, who knows. And I still say the guy could be a Republican. He's running populist, that's all.
