. . . and one of the places I visited was a sanctuary that had a Jaguar. It was in a large environmental cage, chain link style. Unlike Zoos here, the only thing that stopped you from getting closer was the fence itself. I spent a few minutes eye to eye with the jaguar, thinking to myself "pretty kitty". Then I noticed that it was drooling. Pretty humbling to know that I was low on the foodchain. I'd never voluntarily get close to a big cat. I mean, Fluffy will attack your hand and scratch at your arm with all it's might. Big cats are just bigger. And you are their food.

Sad way to go. Too bad they killed the tiger though.
