That is really unfriendly of you. I suppose that is fair play.
Ok, here are a couple of his better points.
“I could be wrong.”
This is the right place to start. And I am always ready to admit that I could be wrong, too. I find that, generally, people who are rigid and 100% certain that they know something to be true beyond any shadow of a doubt are usually wrong. The hysterical ones who have made up their minds and who do not allow for any new information are not to be trusted. I agree with that. And I don’t think I am wrong. ;)
“We’ve seen what kind of disaster can result from cherry-picking evidence to make a case. Just look at the flawed intelligence used by Bush to justify his 2003 invasion of Iraq.”
This is a good point he makes. In a court of law, you are certainly allowed to build a solid case and convict someone based solely on circumstantial evidence. It’s not as easy as when you have solid, empirical evidence, but it can be done and it is legitimate.
“I have no doubt there’s more to 9/11 than we have been told.”
This is also a good point he makes. I couldn't agree with him more on this one. I think a lot of us would agree with him on that. And I think we have a right to know.
Ok, those are some great points.
One point I disageewith him on is how he frames the whole thing as black or white, either this or that. I have to totally disagree with the way he frames the question as, either the incompetent Bush/Cheney administration did it, or it couldn't happen that way at all. And they have proven themselves way too incompetent, so forget about it.
I think that is sophomoric and overly simplistic. It’s a false dichotomy to make it either, or. I think the truth is way more complex. I'd like a new investigation, done by people I trust, not them investigating themselves like this last time.
“The 9/11 Truth Movement inadvertently gives the Bush/Cheney administration far too much credit.”
“Are we seriously to believe that the Bush Administration is capable of organizing and executing anything…”
I’m sorry, I really don’t buy this line of reasoning. I do think that the public “Bush administration” is incompetent. I don’t think that that very publicly incompetent group has much to do with the cabal which carried this out. They may not be quite as incompetent. This is all just speculation on my part. Anyway, I don’t think it’s either, or. I think there are forces at work here with deeper agendas than simply those of the “Bush administration”. There are more powerful and sinister groups out there than the Bushies. :tinfoilhat:
