Why Won't The WH Give Up The Papers?

What is in the papers that the WH doesn't want the senators to see? And what do the senators know or think is in them that makes Biden and Co. so adamant to see them? I believe that what is going on here is more than a faux filibuster and am curious as to whether there is a smoking gun involved.
