Aren't you glad the white people "gave" slaves Christianity?
There wouldn't have been a civil rights movement otherwise as MLK would never have risen to the occassion.

It was HER comments that opened this can of worms, not the interpretation. Given the top comment and certainty that she came across it somewhere, she knew better.
This was wrong to begin with on so many levels and it began with her comments and the immediate delivery in her speech when she said to paraphrase "MLK all did good work, but it took a president to get it done."

I knew it that night.
