Barack Obama said in November that he would delay president Bush’s moon-to-Mars program by five years in order to pay for education initiatives.
The NASA special interests got angry and Barack flip-flopped, abandoning his promise, saying he would stick to NASA's existing schedule.
The prestigious blog "Science" said, "“Observers say the awkward shuffle reflects Obama’s relative inexperience in national politics.”
By the way, Science has an article in regards to this change of heart, but if you try to a
access it you will be asked to become a member, so I give you the link to the Columbia Journalism Review instead. CJR congratulates the NY Times on the Obama investigation.
