To excuse these blatantly racist tactics is to enable racism and division. |

If Republicans had so openly spoken about the "white vote," many of the people now trying to excuse away Clinton's words would themselves be screaming from the highest rooftop.
I thought we had expunged such behavior from our party decades ago. I haven't heard anything like that uttered by a Democrat since George Wallace stood in the schoolhouse door.
It doesn't matter whether she's a racist at heart. Hell, Wallace only started using his most divisive language when a more racist opponent beat him, and he swore he'd "never be out-segged again." Whatever she may truly believe, she's trying to exploit racial resentment and anxiety.
And don't claim she chose her words poorly. The Clintons have never uttered a word that wasn't carefully crafted. She knew EXACTLY what she was saying, and EXACTLY what she was doing. Bill and Hillary
Has there been any retraction? Any clarification? Any claim of "misspeaking"? No.
Those who decried Obama's so-called "cult of personality" but who now attempt to excuse Clinton's words should take a long hard look at themselves.
This is sick and ugly, and any true liberal and progressive would never stand for it.
