5. I'm less concerned with what he said then than what he's saying now.
For example, has he spoken out on vote fraud, voter suppression, or the other scandals of the election. Is he speaking out about social security pointing out that SS is not in trouble; rather, it's Medicare (and Federal big pharma subsidies through retail drug purchasing)? Is he calling the war in Iraq what it is -- a mindless tragedy that must be stopped?

If he's addressing some or all of these Democratic positions, then he's a force for good. If not, hey, just another turkey.

I've never been a hero worshiper. After all the let-downs, I'm now officially an ICONOCLAST. Leaders are judged by their leadership not their generic appeal or their ability to generate some hope based on a hint that turns out to be an empty promise.
