Same deal when I lived in Indiana. I was in a frat house with a bunch of Ag majors, and they all loved Reagan and loathed Carter. I remember asking them why they didn't like Carter since he WAS a farmer, and they were like "yeah, a PEANUT farmer!" as if that summed it all up.

But I'm glad to hear there a folks in the farming community that are wising up to the Repubs. Bush Co. doesn't care any more about family farmers than they do about any other working men whether it's manufacturing or mining. Trying to turn independent farmers into peons for big corporations--it's killing the small towns out here.
