23. Tbe crucial part was electability.
Some think him just another pretty face. I recall calling his office during the patriot act vote..Those internet followers knew what the Patriot Act mean't..Why did not Kerry.We did..Kucinich did.That was not the only time we called to protest Kerry's votes..Remember the ioxitic campaign by an independent in Massachusetts against Kerry's awful votes in his last Senate race after thousands stormed his office. Are our memories that short.?
I expect real leader to not have to make Monday morning coversions.
As is the case so often in the US,looking presidential means looking pretty and either no substance or don't commit.
Other than his disagreeable votes, one person's review of Kerry that effects us...Dr. Helen Caldicott...She laid out how pols in DC vote for military boondoggle projects for big defense contractors.
Kerry did not fare well with Dr. Helen Caldicott's review of his voting record.In fact she thought him a good old boy with lots of image makers about..... I think Iowan's are too easily swayed by pretty faces.
