23. News Flash- Ford has no chance to be Senator from TN

He's no Phil Bredesen. It took Phil several failed attempts at statewide office, and then two very successful terms as mayor of Nashville to figure out how to build a base of support in a red state. Ford, while a "fresh" face on the national scene, has no statewide support- he really hasn't done anything. Tennessee in default mode will put another R in the Senate unless someone with more stature runs for the Dems- Former Gov. Ned Ray McWherter could do it if he wanted to.
