The whole idea that the Bush administration committed treason because they were just so darn PISSED OFF about an Op-Ed in the New York Times just doesn't scan. There have been hundreds of devastating anti-Bush op-eds, not only in the NYT but all over the place, and this one they decide to "punish?" Doesn't make sense to me...

Op-Eds really only influence people who read. Moreover, op-eds running counter to the administration, no matter how well-reasoned, can easily be dismissed by the Bushbots as partisan hackery or whatever. If an Op-Ed could do any real damage, the last couple years of Krugman and Rich alone would have brought this administration down in flames.

I agree with you - Brewster Jennings was getting too close to the cabal.
