28. Clark/Gore instead
i'm going to offend a number of people here, but this is realpolitik:

america wants a military man in charge at this crisis point in our descent from empire. our mass psychology has been molded by our nationalist mythology to want this, hence the electoral "success" of fake hard asses reagan, bush jr., and ahnold. bush sr., a REAL hard ass, was percieved as a wimp due to his patrician manner, as was kerry.

gore, god bless him, is a wonk. in mccain vs. gore, the rubes are going to pick the military man. clark makes a better front man; handsome, trim, confident, unimpeachable credentials, & not so concerned with correcting global warming that he'll make us get out of our preciousssss cars. he'll tip more female voters who voted for * based on fear, because they think he's "magnetic" (read: HOT), like clinton was.

gore behind the scenes, running the show like the unlikeable cheney, is fine with me.
