to reporters BEFORE the event as customary. The reporters there even said they were given the remarks and they knew immediately there was no attack on the troops. But those reporters were ignored.

You want to believe that she didn't have this bit of information when she knows full well that remarks are handed to reporters before campaign events? She made her remark the day AFTER the controversy was ginned up and reporters were TOLD Hillary was going to throw Kerry under the bus - we heard the buzz here on DU before it happened.

Hillary was clearly saying the REMARKS were a distraction which implies the remarks were to blame for issues not being discussed.

And when you add it to all the other backstabbing moves of TeamClinton on both Gore and Kerry, it's not hard to see the big picture.
