He had no reason to head up the POW investigation except to find out the truth and no motive to cover anything up and neither did John McCain who reached the same conclusions as Kerry. Their investigation revealed that much of the 'evidence' purporting to indicate POW's left behind turned out to be false and unsubstantiated.

Over 10 years have gone by since Kerry's investigation was completed, and his findings have held up and not been discredited or disproven.
