Yes, this is in the right forum, it's about his speech at the convention.

(perhaps this has been noted before but I cant search ...)

In his speech

Ron had the following phrase:

"But it does not follow that the theology of a few should be allowed to forestall the health and well-being of the many."

In Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. Mr. Spock said:

"The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of a few."

Doesnt sound like a coincidence to me.
