This healthcare bill is helping me learn more about how our government works, and I've read conflicting things on how the conference committee works after the Senate (hopefully) passes the bill.

If the Senate passes a bill without a PO (thanks, Joe)... would it be possible to add it back in committee?

In other words, can the committee add just about anything they want to as long as the House and Senate will approve it with a simple majority after it comes back for a vote?


Anybody else with knowledge of procedures can answer too. Thanks!




edit to add: the "thanks, Joe" part of my post was total sarcasm... I want the bill to not be stripped any further than it was in the House.
