3. We had a great turn out-about 50 people on both sides of University

Amazing considering this was planned last night. Everyone must be listening to Wendy Wilde in the morning.

Channel 5 and Minnesota Daily came out.

I will post more pictures if anyone is interested.

All the good feedback from people driving prompted several there to say they were going to return to the same spot EVERY night (except Wednesdays which will be at the Lake Street Bridge) until Cindy's vigil is over. There were lots of first-timers out. Several children and teens came with their moms. All very good signs. Almost every single MTC bus driver (and there are a lot on University) honked and waved at us.

We expect a decent turnout at the protest tomorrow morning.

The only way we will ever change anything is if people - lots of them - take to the streets. Congress can't do it, the media won't help. I hope the stand-off at the Cookoobanana Ranch will somehow inspire people to finally wake up.

I'm planning on going to Crawford next weekend, if needed. I can feel the momentum building and there is a firm resolve taking hold. It's up to us.

FRIDAY, August 12 Downtown Minneapolis
7:30 - 9:30 a.m.
11th and NICOLLET, OUTSIDE WCCO STUDIO
