I make the trip to Duluth during the day about every other month and it takes 2 hours and 30 minutes from 694 and I35W to Mesaba Ave. We go about 5 mph over the speed limit about 75 mph.

It would take longer from downtown Minneapolis and they would have to sign out the car. Ely is further and off the freeway.
