Disasters and near-diasters on this level don't happen all that often. So sharing them means we can get more wake-up calls. And I have to look at it as a wake-up call, since she's all right. It was weird that I knew something serious had happened before the phone call. I didn't know what it was, but I couldn't sit still.
In giving your mother this loving care you are being fed too. You don't have to feel that you are on the outside with nothing to offer or do to comfort or make things better. I'm glad that you have that. Being without it is the worst kind of starvation. :hug:
