North Carolina Rep. Robin Hayes (news, bio, voting record)' campaign against Larry Kissell, is separated by 449 votes; http://www.heraldsun.com/state/6-786367.html

Kissel has been running a grassroots campaign with little funding or support from the Dem party.
Qualified by petition; no major funding, no major party support, but the race is extremely close.

We had a lot of them like this in Florida that also came close, and with a little support from the party likely would have won.
