The Machine Number for the defective machine is 268561. The voter complained that after she was permitted to vote on another machine, the poll workers allowed others to use the defective machine even though they were aware of the problems that she reported.

A much bigger EP hotline effort in 2004 had a lot more of such cases of switching from Dem to Repub, switching from Dem to blank, and other types of glitches- in Presidential, U.S. Senate, and races down to the amendment level
