often wondered why.

I can remember asking my dad many years ago why he got so upset talking or thinking about male homosexuals. With disdain in his voice he said that he didn't ever want to be touched by one of the "creeps" and that just the thought of it made him sick. Why some stranger might approach him, touch him, etc. just the thought of it made him sick.

I was a young woman, 23, at the time and said that I didn't want to be touched that way by a stranger either, have some man approach me, touch me, etc. but I just avoided them. I didn't get obsessed about it.

He kept on about being propositioned by strange men, etc. and I just laughed. I said "Dad, you've obviously got no idea what a young woman puts up with in the world today. You're just going to have to learn to handle it. I did."

He admitted it hadn't really happened to him but once or twice in his life but he was offended by it.
