2. Check for the OS version you're running by clicking on the Apple icon in

the upper left corner, at the left of the bar, then click on "About this Mac". It will show you "OS X" and under that the version installed. I think that some of the later version updates are only for 10.4. You may have to drop back to an earlier version of QT. But I'm not certain about that.
