In one I was a financial adviser to an English nobleman in maybe the 1600s. I was apparently a very good adviser at first, then I started to believe my own press and made a major mistake that cost my patron a whole lot of money. The vision was of my patron looking up at me grimly from the crowd around the scaffold, the feeling of the trap door under my boots falling open, and the snap of my neck as rope ended that life.

In the other I was a young Asian (Chinese, Korean or Japanese) child being taken to live at a Buddhist monastery in the mountains. The vision covered a walk up the mountain road in the company of an older man, my introduction to the head monk at the monastery, and ended in my tiny room with a narrow bed and a small chest of drawers. I remember sitting on the bed feeling totally ecstatic that I would be introduced into the mysteries. I couldn't tell the nationality or the era.

As you can see, there's nothing to go on for validation. On the other hand, the important thing about these matters isn't whether they are "true" in some objective sense, but insteat what meaning they hold. Both these visions have very strong resonances in my current life.
