Howdy, all.

I realize I haven't been around much lately, and I just wanted to drop in and let you all know I have been thinking about you, and am still alive, though perhaps just barely. :)

I apologize for my absence and lack of activity on the blogs lately, but things got pretty hectic for me at the end of summer. I started my last year of nursing school, and that has been a hell of a ride. I am still working at the hospital as well, and often do back-to-back work/school and sometimes go a couple of weeks with no days off and barely any sleep. The curriculum is quite challenging, as is my work schedule, and this takes up all of my time and energy.

Some of you might also have heard that my husband's mother died at the end of summer as well. That has been pretty rough on the family, and the stress level has been quite high as we all go through a very difficult grieving process. This unfortunate event led to a cascade of stresses that has proved to be quite overwhelming.

I haven't had a moment of sanity since July.

I do see a faint light at the end of the tunnel, come May when I graduate from school, but it might be the proverbial oncoming train. We'll see.

All this combined with the rigors of school and work have rendered me a completely useless hermit. I sincerely apologize for not being as available as I once was before all this happened. I miss you all tremendously, and the work we do, and have been filled with regret that I have missed out on so much as of late.

I am trying to rebuild, but like I said, I don't see myself getting my head above water until at least May. I will have a winter break from school in Dec-Jan and hope to be around a little more then.

I am coming to Boston in December, and am looking forward to seeing all of you, and trying to have at least a tiny bit of fun.

I am so excited about seeing you all again, and resuming the work we do, and the fun we have.

I hope there's still a place at the table for me. :-)
