One of the tunnels is considered unsafe. Too bad. We've driven it a few times. Once with our little Toyota Tercel wagon. It's now just open to hikers and bikers.

This isn't my photo. Gold Camp Road is the old mining train track (no more tracks) that ran from Cripple Creek/Victor to Colorado Springs.



You'd be coming in from the North? Swing west and come in from that direction. If you're coming in from the south there is an easy gravel road (nice views!!) that runs from Canon City to Victor then to Cripple Creek. Just look at a map.
