Laura Bush Sets All-Time Record, Flip-Flops in Just 25 Seconds
Yesterday in an interview with CNN’s John King, First Lady Laura Bush said “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with singing in Spanish.” King then reminded the First Lady that her husband said the national anthem should only be sung in English. She quickly reversed her position, telling King “I think it should be sung in English, of course.” Just 25 seconds had elapsed since her first answ

Transcript:

KING: One of the debates in the country right now is about immigration reform, illegal immigration. One of the controversies is this new Spanish language version of the national anthem. Your husband the president says he thinks it should only be in English. But if you go to the state department website you can find it, I think, in four languages. Secretary Rice says she’s heard rap versions.

MRS. BUSH: Well, we’ve all heard different versions like at the Super Bowl every year. I don’t think there is anything wrong with singing it in Spanish. The point is it’s the United States national anthem and what people want is it to be sung in a way that respects the United States and our culture. At the same time, we are a nation of immigrants. We are a nation of many, many languages, because immigrants come and bring their languages.

KING: Is that an issue you disagree with your husband? He says it should be sung in English.

MRS. BUSH: I think it should be sung in English, of course.

SAN JOSE, CA (IWR News Parody) - Laura Bush today introduced an updated version of Nancy Reagan's old "Just Say No" to Drugs campaign. This time, instead of having kids say "No" to drugs, the First Lady would like all American's to abandon all reason and "just say no" to science.
"On this historic occasion, here at this flea market in San Jose, we need to put an end, once and for all, to the Age of Enlightenment and just say 'no' to science, the teaching evolution in schools, and all this ghastly stem cell research devilry.

Poor Mrs. Reagan got hoodwinked by her evil Hollywood 'friends' and came out in favor of research to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease because she thought it would help 'The Gipper'.

But did it help her or Ronnie? No way, Jose! No pun intended. Because my husband, who is such a forward thinking genius, banned most embryonic stem cell research in this country.

Let those pagan French and German bastards go to hell if they want to, but we Americans will be on the Rapture fast track when the day of reckoning arrives. Let me tell you a little secret that Reverend Falwell told me. Jesus hates science! Well George and I hate science too!

So the next time some satanic science show like Nova comes on the TV, just say 'No' and immediately change the channel to the 700 Club or Fox News.
