William Pelfrey chronicles the lives of General Motors founders Billy Durant and Alfred Sloan in "Billy, Alfred, and General Motors." The author also recounts the early days of the American auto industry and describes the contrasting leadership styles of Billy Durant and Alfred Sloan. This event was hosted by Borders Express at the General Motors Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.

William Pelfrey is author of "The Big V," and wrote the novelization of the film "Hamburger Hill." He is a veteran U.S. Foreign Service Officer and former director of executive communications for General Motors Corporation. Mr. Pelfrey is also a former speechwriter and public relations counselor for the CEO and chairman of the board at General Motors.
