No special expertise required--you just need to know how to install a program downloaded off of the internet.

Said program (Folding at Home) is basically a computer model to simulate how proteins manipulate themselves within the body, in a process called "folding." It's kind of like a new version of the Human Genome Project to map this process, a project that could potentially lead to yummy things like new cancer treatments, new treatments for Alzheimers, et cetera.

Or at least that's the way I understand it.:)
